The Muncie & Western Model Railroad Club (MWMRC) was established in 1990 by a group of model railroad enthusiasts. It is named after the Muncie & Western Railroad Company, known as "The Ball Line."
In 2023, the Muncie Children's Museum and our club collaborated with TW TrainWorx to create the 30' x 60' O Gauge layout.

The new Behavior Associates of Indiana Early Learner's Center building was added to the Muncie Children's Museum layout. The building was created by a club member Kris Keeler Sedgwick Models

We pay homage to the sci-fi movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) Directed by Steven Spielberg. The first half of the movie takes place in (fictional) Muncie, Indiana. The truck in the film is a 1973 Ford F-250 3/4 ton, the yellow work truck driven by Roy Neary, played by Richard Dreyfuss. In the movie, the truck is stopped at a railroad crossing on Cornbread Road when lights from a UFO shine down on the truck. The truck was created by club member Doug Castle
Located at 515 S. High Street, Muncie, IN 47305
